Arkansas River Fishing

Arkansas river fishing is an exciting sport for many who enjoy the thrill of fishing. The Natural State is home to three major fishing rivers, the Arkansas, Little Red and White.

Arkansas River

The Arkansas River is popular for bass fisherman. Spreading over 320 miles and stocked with over 37 access points for fisherman, you can fish all year long. The bass are especially abundant in the early spring and you have the highest chance to catch them near dawn or dusk.

Little Red River

The Little Red river is renowned for its high level of rainbow trout. Here they are notorious for being oversized, and it is not unusual to snag a trout in excess of 30 pounds. The thrill of nabbing the next big fish brings fishermen from all across the country to rural Arkansas’ 29 miles of Little Red River.

White River

The White River, which spans 720 miles through the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks, is also full of brown and rainbow trout. Fishing below the Bull Shoals Dam is highly recommended due to the record amounts of fish caught in single trips by fishermen over the years. The river is well-stocked by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission annually, ensuring that a trip to the White River is certain to give you your fill of fish.

Arkansas is not called the Natural State for nothing. Fishermen enjoy its natural splendor as they enjoy their sport in its numerous bodies of fish-filled water.
