Sacramento River
Many “greats” come from humble beginnings, and the Sacramento River consistently epitomizes this. Snaking from the far north reaches of California the Sac grows ever powerful drawing from its fertile tributaries as it charges for the fish factory we call the Pacific Ocean. Thus making it a flourishing travel corridor for any anadramous fish. Salmon, steelhead, and wild rainbows in huge numbers and size make this a world class destination. Salmon Season opens in the middle of July and goes to the middle of January with large fresh fish available at any given time and in excess of 50 pounds. Trophy class rainbows and steelhead are in abundance as well, with a decent day yielding up to 20 1-5 pound trout or steelhead to 15 pounds per day.

Feather River
The feather river is an 80 mile tributary of the mighty Sacramento River, stretching from just north of Sacramento to the city of Oroville. The huge runs of dime bright salmon give our clients solid action from June until its closing days in September and October. 40+ pound fish are not uncommon. November offers large numbers of steelhead to 10 pounds throughout nearly the entire system.

Trinity River
The Trinity river is well known across the country as a salmon and steelhead factory. Large runs of willing biters ascend the river throughout the fall and winter months. This is an incredibly scenic river that is best fished by drift boat to access all of the hard to get to holes full of fish. Located only 45 min. west of Redding CA the Trinity is within easy driving distance of Sacramento and the Bay Area. Salmon fishing is September through October and steelhead fishing starts in October and goes until February.
